Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival

The Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival is a weekend event held at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds in central Vermont, with more than 70 vendors selling yarn, fiber, and tools. The festival has a strong farm-to-fiber thread running through it: a fleece show and sale, shearing and herding demonstrations, and an animal barn with live sheep and fiber animals all sit alongside the vendor marketplace. Fiber arts competitions, classes, and a Designer Alley featuring independent pattern designers give you plenty to do between shopping. The Green Mountain Shawl knit-along offers a festival-specific project to work on while you're there. The festival operates as a nonprofit supporting small farms and fiber producers.
