The Pacific Northwest Fiber Exposition
The Pacific Northwest Fiber Exposition takes place at the Vern Burton Community Center in Port Angeles, Washington, on the Olympic Peninsula. Sponsored by the Port Angeles Art Council, the event covers multiple fiber arts disciplines rather than focusing on yarn alone. Workshops with visiting teachers, demonstrations, vendor shopping, and hands-on activities for all ages and skill levels fill out the programming. On a peninsula where fiber artists are spread across considerable distances and yarn shops are few and far between, having everything gathered in one community center for a day is reason enough to make the drive.
