The Fiber Festival of New England
The Fiber Festival of New England runs two days at the Mallary Complex on the Eastern States Exposition fairgrounds in West Springfield, Massachusetts, the same 175-acre grounds that host The Big E, New England's largest agricultural fair. More than 150 vendors sell yarn, fleeces, looms, spinning wheels, and finished textiles, which makes the browsing substantial. Over 20 workshops cover techniques from felting and spinning to punch needle, crochet, and rug hooking. A fleece sale lets you purchase raw fleece directly. With 150-plus vendors and a fairground built to handle the scale of The Big E, there's room to spend two full days here without seeing everything twice.
