Texas Wool Week
Texas Wool Week is a seven-day festival held at The Sheepwalk Ranch in Bandera, Texas, in the Hill Country. The format makes the most of its setting on a working sheep ranch: you can tour the on-site mill, meet the sheep, and follow the wool production process from shearing through finished garment. Workshops run all week across needle arts, weaving, felting, sewing, and farm-to-fiber skills like fiber mill operation and wool farming. The class list blends traditional and contemporary, with offerings like Viking-style weaving and colcha embroidery alongside colorwork knitting and felting. A full week on a working ranch with this range of programming is unusual, and the connection between the animals, the mill, and the classroom is built into every day.
