Summer Yarn Event - Shepherd's Cross

Shepherd's Cross Summer Yarn Event is a multi-day event held at a working sheep farm and fiber mill in Oklahoma. Everything here traces back to the property: classes in carding, drop spindling, rigid heddle weaving, needle felting, and a three-day floor loom course all use Animal Welfare Approved wool grown and processed on-site. Between classes, you can tour the wool mill, visit the farm animals, and browse a fiber arts museum and Bible garden on the grounds. The shop carries spinning equipment, fiber, and yarn produced from the farm's own flock. Each purchase comes with a mini-skein of farm-produced yarn. For a state that lost its yarn crawl, this is a different kind of gathering: one farm, one flock, and the whole process from pasture to finished textile in one place.
