St. Distaff's Day

St. Distaff's Day Spin In takes place at a middle school in Burlington, Washington, hosted by Spindrifters. The name revives the medieval tradition of spinners returning to their wheels after the twelve days of Christmas, and the event stays true to that focus: this is a spinning gathering, not a yarn market. Fiber vendors and a used equipment table for buying and selling spinning wheels and tools fill the space, and you bring your own wheel, your own lunch, and cash or check for the vendors and raffle tickets. Coffee and tea are provided. It's the kind of event where everyone in the room is there for the same reason, and that reason involves a spindle.
