Salida Fiber Festival

The Salida Fiber Festival brings over 70 vendors to Riverside Park in Salida, Colorado, a mountain town in the state's high country. The two-day event runs the first weekend after Labor Day, with classes, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations alongside the vendor marketplace. Volunteer-run and nonprofit since 2011, the festival has the feel of a community that built something and kept showing up for it. Seventy-plus vendors in a riverside park in the Colorado mountains is a pretty good way to close out the summer. Dogs are not permitted in the park.
