North Texas Yarn Crawl
The North Texas Yarn Crawl connects 13 shops across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex over a ten-day window, now in its 16th year. The geographic spread runs from Denison near the Oklahoma border to Waxahachie in the south, threading through suburbs, small towns, and urban neighborhoods along the way. You pick up a free passport and travel guide at your first stop and collect stamps as you go, with prizes for completing the crawl. An optional canvas project bag comes with collectible stitch markers available at each shop. Trunk shows from independent dyers and shop-specific programming mean each stop has its own thing going on beyond the browsing. Sixteen years and 13 shops across a metro area of seven million people says this crawl has figured out how to keep a sprawling region connected.
