New England Farm and Fiber Festival

The New England Farm and Fiber Festival takes place inside the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts, a round, historic venue in Boston's South End. Up to 4,000 people come through in a single day to shop from farmers, fiber artists, and farmer-artists selling products they've raised, processed, and made themselves. The emphasis is on small, local businesses working with regional fiber, so you're buying from the people who know their animals by name and can tell you exactly where your yarn started. Demonstrations and presentations run throughout the day. The Cyclorama is one of those spaces that makes everything inside it feel like an event, and filling it with New England's farm-based fiber community for a day is a good use of the room.
