Minnesota Fiber Festival

The Minnesota Fiber Festival is a single-day event at the Isanti County Fairgrounds in Cambridge, Minnesota, with a focus on fiber grown and produced in the upper Midwest. Vendors come from Minnesota and surrounding states, and the emphasis on regional producers means you're shopping materials with a shorter journey from farm to table (or basket, or skein). Classes with local instructors and demonstration areas run throughout the day. The Crafter Circle is a nice addition: a designated space where you can sit down with your knitting, spinning, crochet, or weaving and work alongside other makers between shopping and classes. Sometimes the best part of a fiber festival is just being in a room full of people who get it.
