Central Pennsylvania Fiber Festival

The Central Pennsylvania Fiber Festival is a two-day event at the Lycoming County Fairgrounds in Hughesville, a rural community in north-central Pennsylvania about 30 miles east of Williamsport. The agricultural setting comes through in the programming: a fleece sale runs alongside the vendor marketplace, so you can buy raw fleece directly alongside finished yarn and fiber products. Demonstrations of fiber techniques are spread across the fairgrounds property, and vendors set up in the facility's buildings. It's a festival shaped by the working farm landscape around it, in a part of the state where sheep farming and fiber production are still an active part of the local economy.
