Arizona Fiber Arts Festival

The Arizona Fiber Arts Festival is a three-day event in Camp Verde, a small town between Phoenix and Flagstaff, organized by the Arizona Federation of Weavers and Spinners Guilds. Paid workshops and seminars cover a wide spread of techniques: spinning, dyeing, weaving, felting, knitting, crocheting, basketry, beading, braiding, and embroidery. The vendor market, demonstrations, and guild display booths are all free and open to the public, so you can browse and watch without committing to a full workshop. What makes this one distinctive is the guild presence. Member guilds from across the state set up displays showcasing their members' work, which means you get a window into what fiber artists around Arizona are actually making. If you're curious about joining a local guild or just want to see the range of what people are doing with fiber in the region, this is a good place to start.
