AL Fiber Festival
The Alabama Fiber Festival is a two-day event at Vestavia Hills Civic Center in the Birmingham area, bringing together the state's fiber community for a weekend of shopping, learning, and making. Vendors cover the full range of fiber disciplines, so you'll find yarn and tools for knitting and crochet alongside spinning supplies, weaving materials, and handmade textile art. Workshops run both days if you want to pick up a new technique or sharpen an existing one. Between shopping and classes, there are communal stitching areas where you can sit down and work on a project alongside other makers, plus food trucks and live music to round out the day. It's a festival that feels as much about the gathering as the goods.
